OPEN CALL FROM MONDAY TO FRIDAY 10AM to 12PM117 Seventh Avenue S , New York , 10014BARISTA COUNTER AND GELATO COUNTER POSITIONRealmuto Hospitality Group is seeking Full and Part-Time experiencedbarista/counter staff for their opening location in the West Village set to open at theend of May. We are in search of energetic and friendly professionals to join ourdynamic team. Great hospitality skills and organizational skills are required for ourfast-paced location. A minimum of one year of barista or gelato counter staffexperience is required. As a barista and gelato counter staff, you will be responsiblefor providing a warm welcome and memorable customer experience.BENEFITS-Dining discounts.-Hourly rate of $18/hour + tips.JOB DUTIES:-Assist with bakery, juices and counter handling as needed.-Able to lift and carry over 25 ponds.-Maintain appearance and cleanliness of location ensuring products are stocked andareas are properly sanitized. Staff will be provided with uniform.-Prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold beverages such as coffee, teas,juices.-Scoop gelato according to company standards.-Follow gelato temperature guidelines.-Operate cash register and take order through Toast POS system.-Follow all safety guide-nes and ensure proper handling of food and beverageitems.-Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.-Assisting customers in selecting bakery and frozen items and providing informationabout our products.-Provide coffee, juices, baked goods and gelato knowledge to guests.-Open the cafe by preparing food and beverages such as juices and coffees, settingup parts displays and setting up cash register.-Close the cafe by conducting final inventory check, reconciling cash registers andbreaking down the pastry displays.-Available to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends,and/or holidays.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Great attitude and organizational skills for our location in the West Village.- Retail Management experience.-Able to stand on their feet for long periods of time.- Barista experience of 1 year (manual machine).-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.- La Cimbali machine experience of at least 1 year is presserez but not mandatory.
- Latte art skills are a plus.- Great attention to detail, customer service oriented.- Understanding of safe food handling and sanitation procedures.- Flexible schedule.- Available to work on weekends.- Very reliable and always on time to all shifts (opening/closing shifts).
- Food Handler Certification recommended but not required.Job Types: Temporary, Contract, Part-time, Full-timePay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour + tipsShift: 8 hour shift 10 hour shift Weekend availabilityWork Location: In personUniforms will be provided
